Camper Applications

Camper applications  are now available here! Applications are listed in alphabetical order by camp.

The PBHA Summer Urban Programs service approximately 700 low income school age children and their families across Boston. The eights summer day camps provide morning academic enrichment and afternoon experiential learning and field trips to 555 children ages 6-13 and employ 65 teens as junior counselors.  The programs, which are run by college students and supported by professional staff, are made affordable and accessible to families (only $100 for the summer) with the support of our community partners.

Preference is given to returning campers and children who are in need of the program for financial and academic reasons from our key partner communities.  The Summer Urban Program targets the following groups of elementary and middle-school students, ages 6-13, to participate in its community-based summer programs:

Boston Refugee Youth Enrichment (BRYE)

  • Students living in Dorchester who are immigrants in need of ESL instruction
  • For an application, please contact the BRYE directors.  

Cambridge Youth Enrichment Program (CYEP)

  • Low-income students residing in the city of Cambridge, particularly Roosevelt Towers, Jefferson Park or Newtowne Court 
  • For an application, please contact the CYEP directors.

Chinatown Adventure (CHAD)

  • Students living in Chinatown, particularly in the subsidized housing complexes there—Mass Pike Towers, Castle Square, Oak Terrace, Metropolitan, Tai Tung Village

  • Students living in the Villa Victoria, Castle Square or Cathedral housing developments in the South End

Native American Youth Enrichment Program (NAYEP)

Refugee Youth Summer Enrichment (RYSE)

  • The Refugee Youth Enrichment program offers ESL courses to 90 limited English speaking teens from the greater Boston community.

  • Students living in Roxbury, particularly those from Academy Homes, New Academy Homes, or Orchard Gardens
